Do you speak German? Scratch that…can you read German? If you can and have some inexplicable desire to have a signed German Moonshine (Moon Spirit…Germans don’t know what they’re missing with good old country moonshine) then comment and say why you want a German translation or give me some lovin’–I’m easy! I’ll give two away at random (same Chris McGrath cover–with a dark green tinge, but much thicker a book. I think Germans take about three lines in a manuscript to say ‘tree’.)  To enter, leave a comment below.  And don’t forget…BLACKOUT March 1st (and if you could purchase it from a real brick and mortar store between March 1st and March 6th, you would be doing me an unbelievable favor.) Also, if at B&N, BLACKOUT may be in a cardboard display with other books of mine and not necessarily hanging about the SF/F section (check the aisle that leads to Starbucks.)  Now…German-lovers, start your V-8s and hammer down!  Contest ends mmmmm Wednesday.

Go here to enter. I have to consolidate my three social networking (ice picks in my brain) sites in one spot as my rural dial up can't handle the hopping around: http://robthurman.net/2011/01/13/german-moonshine-giveaway/

March 1st! Two months! Saddle up and ride, reavers! Remember to please buy from March 1st-6th if possible and from a bookstore too if possible. I am supposed to have book dumps in some B&N's. It'll be just Cal books, Grimrose Path and Chimera (I think). A dump of 6 books devoted to just *my* books. It'll only be in the B&N's that actually wanted to purchase the dumps and high traffic B&N's, so...may not be many, but if ANYONE ANYWHERE sees one and takes a picture to send me, I will love you forever and give you a signed something.

I'm getting a new website in a few days. This thing is like nothing I've ever seen in a website. Each series has it's on page and unique banner...the Chimera banner is so goddamn hot you'll need a cold shower after and if you're not into guys, it also kicks fucking ass. Trixa has her own banner and it's gorgeous. Cal of course has its own banner. The Leandros Lair has a Niko-centric (yeah, baby) banner. There are cascading manga pictures you've never seen. There's a quote generator that gives you a different quote from all the books whenever you visit the site (the good, the bad, the naughty! Oh, and the homicidal: most of the homicidal quotes come from Zeke.) And on and on. There is so much on this website that it'll take days to see it all. Unbelievable. My jaw still drops whenever I see it.

Last, but definitely not least: there may be a CAL VIDEO for the BLACKOUT release. Remember how kick- ass the Grimrose Path/Paint it Red video was and still is?? Can you imagine what a Cal one would be like? HOLY SHIT! I am DYING for that.

I have one, count it, one advanced review copy (ARC) of Blackout (Cal Book 6) to be given away. You (that’s right, you!) have a chance to read Blackout 2 1/2 months early. I also have a notebook with the Nightlife print on the cover to give away. Now: what you need to do to enter. Enter here in the blog comments on my website (www.robthurman.net). LJers, FBers…sorry, but need it all consolidated in one spot. Here. I’ll try and let the contest run until next Thursday as I know no one checks these things over the weekend. To enter you must list your favorite quote from Cal, Trickster novels, or Chimera. I stopped having time to collect them two years ago and my new website (out soon!) gives you a quote from one of the books every time you visit the site. Remember, don’t only include Cal. I need Trickster and Chimera ones too. ***** Important--I need new ones. I already have the ones on my buttons. :) It's *new* ones I need for this quote spitting machine on the COMING SOON website (which is rocking. It'll do everything but vacuum your carpet for you.)

Have fun, good luck, and…GO!

Okay, get in the mix. Comment. Who is the most hot? Cal or Michael? We've seen Cal many times (6 actually, not counting manga covers), so here's Michael now--all grown up and ready to rule the CW with a boot up their ass:  http://robthurman.net/chimera/basilisk-sequel-to-chimera/

Who is more boom-chiki-bow-wow??

I know 99.9% of Supernatural fans or viewers have seen this--but I hadn't. It is the most hilarious thing on SPN I have ever seen. It covers it all with flow charts, pictures (with piss your pants funny captions), the characters, the seasons. I laughed myself sick. And much of it is as hilarious as it is as it comes very close to the truth. So if you can't take a joke, I wouldn't go there. But if you love the show enough that your love can withstand a good ribbing and, more so, really appreciate laughing about--actually *with* what you love (that's the best kind of laughter), then check it out. It's by the Cracked Website. Wear a diaper.

It’s Friday. I’m wishing I was out seeing the movie Red, but I’m in ratty sweats with bed hair writing my ass off, because that’s what being a writer is most of the time: missing movies and lunches with friends, working seven days a week in a job with no health insurance, no sick time, no vacation time, and no retirement benefits. So while Michael refuses to cooperate in Chimera 2 (Basilisk), I need me some ego boosting, people. I’m feeling low. Probably the only person feeling lower is that jack-ass George Takei called a douche-bag (you rock, George.)

I’ll give away one signed (if you want it signed) Chimera today. Contest ends at midnight for those who work late or live in the land of freaky non-Eastern Standard Time. Just leave a comment here, on this blog (yep, LJers, you’ll have to heave yourselves to my website here and leave it. I need people to come to my website. People tell me this is important. Hits and what not. I don’t know.) You can cheer me up by telling me your favorite character and why (from any of the three series…Zeke! Because he’s a borderline sociopath with a big gun! Godzilla! Because he’s a completely sociopathic ferret! Salome…because she leaves Great Danes on your pillow), or one of your favorite lines or moments (all those probably involve Goodfellow.) And if you’re too busy working, too, you can just say Gimme! and leave your name. Okay, ready, set, try for some Chimera ass!

My friend Mikey had a Halloween party, cool, but it was a Star Wars theme party (he is a major Star Wars fanatic.) You had to do something Star Wars. Star Wars is not one of my particular fandoms, so nothing lying about and no time for the year I put into those spandex/weapon loaded Con costumes. So, here we go...lamest Star Wars costume ever (and if you didn't see Anakin slaughter the Jedi younglings in an evil frenzy in that last movie, you won't get it. But here it is anyway.)

Anakin's Lil' Angels Youngling Daycare!
Hey, where the hell is that kid?
Seriously, I just saw him an hour ago. Where's that damn kid?
