ADDENDUM: Books cannot be purchased online for this win of a peek of Cal Book 6 Chapter One (which kicks such ass that I even think it kicks ass and I typically want to burn my books for not being good enough when I'm done.) Why doesn't NYT count online sales, I don't know. Maybe because in the real bookstores in the real world you're only competing with other new releases. In online world you compete with every book ever written carried by the online store.

Has to be from a real store that exists outside the Matrix. One you can touch and where there are live people and you can buy ludicrously overpriced coffee. B&N, Borders, BAM, etc.

I'm pretty much a lurker here but I want to say good for you! And that you, Cal & Niko kick ass =)
It's amazing how much people take for granted the availability of ebooks and sometimes the 'ease' with which they can be aquired. For me the ability of having an actual book in my hands will never be beat, plus new books just have a special smell that will always stay in my memory.
Can't wait for the new book to hit the shelves!

I do prefer books of paper as I look at a computer all day writing, so more looking at a glowing screen of words is like...more work. I need a break. But each to their own...the thing here is NYT does not count online sales. I don't know why. But they don't. It has to be purchased in a real store.

Spread the kick-ass word!

:( But, but, but...how can online sales not be counted by NYT? They. Are. Sales. *blink* *wibble* That makes me sad inside. I buy damn near all of my books online.

Okay. I shall brave the 20.01 miles to the nearest book store for Cal. I'm not doing it for the chapter peek, though. That would just be torture! ...unless book five ends in a major cliffy. *narrows eyes suspiciously*

No, not a cliffy. Beginning of 6 has nothing to do with Roadkill. It's months later.

Yay! Okay, well either way I pace until the next one comes out. I go through a lot of sneakers. Good luck!

Keep on, faithful minion. I'm writing in a Christian coffee house to keep you guys in snark and violence. It's one helluva sacrifice on my part....you have *no* idea. I am not a fan of gospel music. And the chick gave me a dirty look when I replied to the question of do I want whipped cream with a Hell, yeah!
meluisinemeluisine on February 18th, 2010 08:27 am (UTC)
try using "is there a hell?" you might get a giggle and still get to use the word hell in a Christian coffee house.
and not a fan of major gospel music. Try Emery though. hard core and rocks the socks. Still christian band though.

Hey, will you have a widget for it? Or can I grab the cover graphic and put it in my sidebar? I'm trying to figure out how to have a Niko & Cal week then. I know you are busy, but could I send you a few questions that I'm sure have NEVER been asked before? *snicker* I won't ask for spoilers either. I'm thinking I could buy a copy of the first book and offer it up as a prize even. Just thinking out loud here. I guess I could actually email you after I have it figured out:)
